I obtained my Electrical and Computer Engineering Diploma from the Polytechnic University of Thessaly in Greece (5-year course, equivalent to BSc + MSc). Currently pursuing a PhD degree in China.
Experience
As of 2020, I have 4 years of experience in teaching English to Chinese kids, ages 3-14. From June 2015 – September 2015, I taught with H&H Foreign Language Institute in Athens, Greece. My students there were Greek, ages 3 to 12-years old. My classes focused on language acquisition, phonics, verbal and writing skills. The teaching syllabus for Grades A – E (5–12 years old) included reading, writing and comprehension. From June 2016 – August 2016, I taught with International Children’s Club, Shenzhen, China. There, I taught intensive English summer courses to kindergarten and primary school children. The purpose of the summer courses was for children to enrich their vocabulary, improve their verbal skills and consolidate the knowledge of the previous academic year. From June 2016 – August 2016, I also worked with a private kindergarten in Shenzhen, China. There, I taught English to 3 to 10-year-old children with emphasis on language acquisition and social skills. The teaching syllabus included reading, writing and comprehension. The lessons incorporated music, singing, dancing and drama as an effective and fun way of learning. Since 2016, I have been teaching English privately. I am also very experienced in online teaching. I taught with Talkpal from September 2016 – March 2017. My students were in Grades 1-5, usually more than 70 children per 30-minute class. I was heavily involved in preparing teaching materials and did a variety of classes (music class, arts and crafts class, movie class, etc.). I also did a lot of phonics and focused on clear pronunciation of difficult words. From October 2017 – October 2018, I worked with DaDaABC. I taught children aged 3-14, using my guitar to sing songs together, as well as a variety of teaching materials and provided syllabus. I am proud to have received multiple messages of appraisal from the students’ parents (available upon request), while retaining long-term students who I first taught during my first few weeks at DaDaABC. Finally, from December 2017 – January 2019, I worked with fastschool. There, I taught children aged 3-5, using my guitar to sing class-related songs and doing various arts & crafts classes. I was regularly consulted about the syllabus and platform presentation, receiving very positive feedback and retained numerous long-term students. Currently teaching online with MagicEars.

• Piano: 6-year performance and theory studies at the National Conservatory of Athens • Guitar: studied modern guitar through private lessons since 2006 • Music composition and recording enthusiast (using professional music production software such as Cubase, Ableton) • Traveling: before 2020, traveled to Malaysia, Sydney, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macau, Greece, Copenhagen, London, Newcastle.
