Experience
I am an outgoing, responsible, organised, and patient person, who speaks three languages (Cantonese, Mandarin, and English) and is very much passionate about teaching. I previously worked as a securities analyst in the financial industry, and I have two years of experience in teaching AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics in an international program before I worked in the financial industry. Currently I teach Accounting (financial accounting, cost accounting) in a well-established A-level school in Shenzhen. I believe in using different methods to teach different students as there is no same students, so making sure my tutoring is as rewarding as possible. Also, I believe that teaching is to guide students to process information, ask questions, and discover solutions to problems on their own. That way they can really understand the knowledge and rationale behind, and so be able to flexibly apply them in future subject matters, rather than just pure test preping. I am also familiar with GMAT or equivalent level of math. My GMAT overall score is 680, within the top 15% percentiles. So I’m well equipped to tutor basic and intermediate level of math. During college, I was granted two scholarships in November 2010 and September 2011 respectively. During work, as one of the class head teacher, I was awarded “the best class management” award.
